For young people, having a place to play can mean much more than having somewhere to practice a sport. It can mean discovering a new interest, becoming part of a team, staying active, and building friendships that carry beyond the field or court.

Since 1998, the Youth Sports Foundation of Tuolumne County has worked to expand those opportunities for local youth. Over the years, the nonprofit has renovated baseball and softball fields, improved elementary school playgrounds, provided equipment to local leagues, supported youth scholarships, and invested in programs that make sports more accessible throughout the county.

One of YSF’s largest projects is Foundation Sports Park. The park already includes a FIFA-size soccer field and four pickleball courts, giving athletes and families additional spaces to practice, compete, and gather. Now, YSF is working on its next phase: an Indoor Sports Pavilion designed to provide year-round space for volleyball, basketball, futsal, camps, clinics, and community events.

Caldwell Insurance Services has chosen to support the Youth Sports Foundation as our current Community Cause and help bring more attention to the work happening right here in Tuolumne County.

From improving existing facilities to developing entirely new places to play, YSF is helping ensure that local kids have access to sports and recreation close to home. We’re excited to highlight the organization and the projects it continues to build for local youth and families.
